Skull Sketches - Mexican Day of the Dead Inspired

I love the ideas surrounding 'Day of the Dead'. It's a Mexican celebration in which people remember family and friends who have passed away. Instead of being a miserable and mournful festival, it's bright and colourful!
I love the candy skull patterns, they are so beautiful yet very simplistic.
In art class, we are studying the culture, so I thought I would post my drawings.

I am really happy with this sketch. I love how the flowers sit in the eye-sockets of the skull.

What do you think of my sketches? Do you like the candy skull patterns too?

Love of Music.

I've always loved music and have been intrigued by different bands and genres for a while.
I've listened to pop, indie, rock and much more...But my music taste is always changing.

My Drawing of Hayley Williams (Paramore) & Vic Fuentes (Pierce the Veil)
My friends like to listen to pop music such as The Vamps and Katy Perry. I'm not too fussed on these, however their songs are extremely catchy!
But it's clear that we do agree on the fact that Panic! At the Disco and Fall Out Boy are awesome though, so I guess I can deal with their music tastes for a while longer ;)

I currently listen to indie/alternative music such as The Wombats, Arctic Monkeys and The 1975, because they sound a little bit different and I like that. But I will always love Paramore!

What are your favourite bands?

Books Take Me To Amazing Worlds.

Books! Aren't they amazing?
I've loved to read since I was tiny and with that I have adapted the annoying habit of feeling sorry for anybody who says they "don't like" reading. I mean how can you not like reading? You can't not like reading, you just need to find an awesome author to start you off.
I'm sure that some of you readers may not like to read or a just in the search of a good book, so here are five I reccomend!

I drew some book related drawings for a recent art project, so I thought it would be appropriate to feature them here.

Dragon Sketches.

Unfinished dragon face pencil sketch
I've never been good at drawing anything creepy, freaky or mildly scary. I've always embraced my cutesy and detailed style, until well...I couldn't.
I'd always seek my teacher's help when I ever had to draw anything 'scary', but a couple of months ago, I was given a piece of A3 paper to draw a dragon on. IT WAS MY WORST NIGHTMARE. I had no idea where to start, so I researched some images of dragons and tried to draw them.
This was the outcome, I hope you enjoy!
